Dr. Shen is Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.  She is Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology and Director of the Dry Eye Clinic at the Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, Arizona.  A graduate of the University of Michigan (MD - 1996), she completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago (2000) where she was the co-chief resident.  A fellowship in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery was completed in 2001 at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.  
Dr. Shen is the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including 2017 Women of the Year from Women in Ophthalmology and the Inspirational Physicians Recognition Program, Women's Physician Section of the American Medical Association.  She even won the Beem-Fisher Award from the Chicago Ophthalmological Society in 2001!
Dr. Shen has a large number of academic and research credits to her name, as well as national and international presentations on a range of topics.

Registration

Advance registration is required. Please register no later than January 31st. Members of the COS can register using the on-line form. If you are registering a guest or if you otherwise owe a fee, use the paper form which can be downloaded in PDF format.
Annual COS dues includes attendance at the monthly dinners. Therefore, there is no charge for members in good standing.*
 
For non-members, guests and members in arrears, the registration fee is $75. Residents & fellows in training are not charged, but advance registration is still required.
If you do not owe any registration fees, you may fax your form to: 847/680-1682.  Or use the on-line electronic registration form.
Members are considered "in good standing" if their dues are now paid.
